Mr. B’s gives the classic oxford a modern revamp by contrasting the shoe’s familiar fluidity of line with the naturally grained texture of milled leather. The distinctive look and feel of milled leather makes this oxford both robust and tangible, while the finely double stitched toecap seam, stacked heel and inset double collar gives an understated elegance that would look at home with a suit or worn denim.

Aluminium Shank — The shank is the backbone of any fine shoe. Located above the outsole, at the waist of the shoe and below the arch of the foot, an aluminum shank provides the kind of lightweight support necessary for long days on your feet. By bridging the heel and front of the shoe, it also relieves the burden from the sole allowing for a sleeker more refined design.
Drum-dyed leather — We soak our leather in a large drum to allow dye to penetrate all the way through the hide. Unlike shoes that are painted, drum-dyed leather is breathable, more comfortable, softer, more natural looking, and more forgiving, as any surface scratches will only reveal the dyed layers underneath.
Leather Lining/Insole — A leather lining and insole is the most natural, comfortable way to connect the foot to the shoe. We choose the finest soft grain calfskin lining, to keep your feet cool, dry and comfortable no matter what the circumstance.
Leather Outsole — A leather outsole has many advantages: one being that it is breathable and lightweight and thus, healthier for your foot. Another is that they look great, and provide an elegance, feel and luxury that a rubber sole simply cannot.
Leather — The entire Mr. B’s line uses only first grade European leather sourced from Italian tanneries in Tuscany and Veneto. Each piece is inspected to ensure that it is clear, supple and clean, consistent in color, and smooth. This quality leather will not only become softer with time, but if well cared for will also develop a rich patina.
EU — Made in Europe
IT — Designed in Italy
Milled leather — The leather is put into a "dry drum," with no chemicals and tumbled to soften the fibres within the skins. This gives it a "milled" effect, which is seen as patterns in the leather. It is strong, durable, soft and very flexible, while presenting a more robust and rugged look.
Stacked Leather Heel — The heel will bear the brunt of every day wear and tear. By building up layers of resilient leather stacked and shaped, the heel is not only given a beautiful hand finished quality, but re-heeling becomes a more simplified and elegant procedure, extending the life of your shoe.
Vegetable-tanned — Still the most traditional way to both strengthen leather and to bring out its natural beauty and unique characteristics. Because vegetable-tanned leather is processed using natural tannins instead of harsh chemicals, it’s also better for the environment and much easier (not to mention safer) to recycle at the end of its life.
